According to a report by Motor Trend, Toyota is working on another full-scale model of the wildly popular FT-1 concept – this time finished in a different hue.

The Japanese giant is not known to construct two successive full-scale concept unless it is seriously looking to add a new model based on the concept to its product line up. The last time Toyota did this was with the Lexus LF-LC concept which previewed the brand’s future styling direction.

We already know the FT-1 is confirmed for production and the new FT-1 concept MkII will likely feature a more production ready styling to gauge customer reaction.

The report goes on to say that Toyota could also be working on a wide-body racing variant which could be featured on the Gran Turismo 6 video game and form part of the Super GT series.
