Skoda Rapid Sport concept hints at Rapid RS

Skoda has revealed its Rapid Sport concept at the 2013 Wörthersee today. Based on the Skoda Rapid liftback, the Sport could preview an RS version of the Rapid.

Finished in a two-tone red and silver paint job, the Rapid Sport rides on huge 19-inch alloy wheels that feel out the blistered wheel arches nicely.  Both front and rear bumpers have been redesigned for a sportier look, with the rear bumper having that DTM-inspired look.

Inside, the interior has been jazzed up with a sports steering wheel, illuminated scuff plates and a pair of body hugging Recaro seats.

The Czech manufacturer hasn’t revealed any technical details on the Rapid Sport. We suspect if the car did make it to production, it will likely pinch the Fabia RS’s 132kW/250Nm 1.4-litre twin-charged four-cylinder engine.

We will update this post with more details as they become available.
