Shayton Equilibrium – New Slovenian Supercar

The supercar arena will get a little more squeezy if Shayton, a new aspiring Slovenian brand, gets off the ground.

If these renderings are anything to go by, the Ferrari wannabe looks to have passed the first hurdle to supercar-dom. Penned by local designer, Andrej Stanta, the supercar is called the Equilibrium.

The front of the car seems to have been inspired by the Enzo Ferrari with its distinct F1-like beak. From the front three-quarter view, there is a slight hint of Bugatti Veyron in its haunch.  The rear however, is less successful with its overly complicated design of various shapes. Overall though, it is a decidedly handsome and aggressive looking car.

The car is said to have a dry weight of 1,200kg, thanks to extensive use of aluminium, carbon fibre and titanium. It will be powered by a V12 engine producing 809kW of power and 930Nm of torque at 5,000rpm.

In theory, Shayton believes the Equilibrium will complete the century sprint in 2.9 seconds and reaches 200km/h in just 8.5 seconds. Top speed is said to be over 400km/h, which puts it in the Bugatti Veyron’s league.

Shayton, which means ‘falcon’ in Sioux Indian, plans to build around 20 cars a year with a price tag of over €1,000,000. Bear in mind though, all these are coming from a company that has not actually built a car!

Now all it needs is to raise enough money to build a prototype!
