Sergio Pininfarina Passed Away At 85

One of the automotive world’s most influential figures have passed away – Sergio Pininfarina died in Turin, Italy at the age of 85.

His family name can be seen on many of today’s most beautiful cars, including the Ferrari F40, Testarossa, Enzo, FF and the lates 458 Italia. That is because Sergio’s companies, Pininfarina and Carrozzeria Pinin Farina, have a close working relationship with Ferrari.

Besides calling Ferrari client, Pininfarina also penned a number of Peugeots, including the 205, 306 and the 406 Coupé. They also designed many Maserati vehicles, such as the current Quattroporte and Gran Turismo.

Pininfarina is survived by his wife and two sons. Although Sergio will be greatly missed by all, his legacy will live on, and his companies will continue to create many more iconic cars in the future.
