Say Bonjour to the new Alpine A110 mid-engine sports car

The new Alpine A110 has bowed in, looking nearly identical to the Vision Concept that spawned it last year.

Set to take on the likes of the Alfa Romeo 4C and Porsche 718 Cayman, the A110 is said to “reflect the timeless principles of compact size, light weight and agility that made the success of the Berlinette” and features an all-aluminium platform and upper body.

Renault’s resurrected sports car brand is keeping the A110’s specifications under wraps until the car’s debut at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show next week, but it understood the sports coupe would feature a 1.8-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine delivering between 184kW and 221kW of power. A 4.5 seconds 0-100km/h dash has been confirmed for the mid-engined sports car.

Renault is already taking orders for the ‘Premiere Edition’ of which 1955 units will be built.
