Ride the rainbow road with Tesla’s latest software update [video]

Looks like the engineers over at Tesla have a bit too much time on their hands; their latest software update adds a tribute ‘Mario Kart Rainbow Road’ theme to the vehicles Autopilot interface.

To activate the theme, all that’s required is the latest vehicle firmware installed followed by four fast clicks of the “cruise control” button. The theme is available on all Tesla’s capable of autopilot.

Elon Musk refers to the Easter egg as the “Psychedelic Cowbell Road”, strangely enough the radio volume also increases when activated.

It’s good to see Tesla can add a bit of fun to their vehicles.
