Qoros 3 sedan, Cross Hybrid Concept and Estate Concept headed for Geneva

Qoros has revealed its line-up that will be heading to next month’s 2013 Geneva Motor Show. The Qoros 3 Sedan (formerly known as GQ3) that introduced the company to the world is, of course, present at the stand.

The elegant sedan, which measures 4,615mm long and 1,839mm wide, will be launched with a 1.6-litre four-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine that produces 93kW (126HP) of power and 155Nm of torque. A turbocharged variant that generates 115kW (156HP) and 210Nm will also be available. The power plants are mated with a 6-speed manual transmission as standard, while a 6-speed dual-clutch gearbox is optional.

Qoros is also collaborating with AVL to develop two petrol engines – a 1.2-litre three-cylinder turbocharged engine and an all-new four-cylinder 1.6-litre turbocharged engine, both featuring direct injection.

Alongside the Qoros 3 sedan, the company will be unveiling the Qoros 3 Cross Hybrid Concept, a crossover that features a hatchback body and hybrid powertrain. It gets a 1.2-litre turbocharged 3-cylinder petrol engine mounted transversely at the front and paired with an electric motor installed over the rear axle.

A second electric motor – the Integrated Starter Generator (ISG) – is mounted between the engine and the transmission to provide the car with AWD capabilities.

The third model heading to Geneva is the Qoros 3 Estate Concept. It previews an estate version of the Qoros 3 and features an elongated roofline and large tailgate.
