Porsche teases all-new Macan SUV [video]

Porsche has released a teaser video of its upcoming Macan SUV which will debut at the LA show next month. Porsche’s entry-level SUV is very much a Cayenne mini-me, with a familiar fascia comprising of a prominent snout and headlights. The SUV is, however, noticeably more compact and lower.

It is built on a modified Audi Q5 platform, but injected with Porsche’s precision and driving dynamics.

The Porsche Macan is expected to be the firm’s best-selling vehicle when it hits the market next year, taking over the mantel from the highly popular Porsche Cayenne. Porsche is tight lipped about the car’s powertrain, but according to reports, it will come with a twin-turbo 3.0-litre V6 producing between 220-250kW, while a twin-turbo 3.6-litre V6 delivering 294kW will power the top of the range Macan Turbo.
