Official Photos: Mercedes C63 AMG Coupe Black Series

The wait is over! Mercedes have finally release official photos of the Mercedes C63 AMG Black Series Coupe. I have got to say the car looks absolutely fantastic!. AMG’s roots have always been in motor sports and the latest offering from Affalterbach is to showcase the tuner’s technology transfer from the racetrack to the street.

Since 2006, AMG has been rolling out hardcore version of Mercedes’ production cars, called the Black Series. All AMG cars bearing the Black Series badge are nothing but a total beast obsessed with a madness of power. The C63 AMG Coupe Black Series is no exception. In fact it is the most powerful C-Class ever built. The heart of the coupe is a 6.3 liter V8 developing 517 horsepower and 620 Nm of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels through an MCT seven-speed automatic transmission with manual paddle shifting. 0-100 kph is dealt with just 4.2 seconds. Unlike the standard C63 AMG, the Black Series is not limited to 250 kph and will easily cruise past the 300 kph mark.

The suspension is individually adjustable, offering the driver various set-ups to choose from. Braking is taken care of by six-piston calipers at the front axle and four-piston calipers at the rear to ensure optimum deceleration. As standard, the Black Series is fitted with 19-inch allow wheels.

The new C63 AMG Coupe Black Series is the fourth model in the company’s special line and will go on sale in January 2012 for a starting price of  € 115,430.
