Nissan GT-R Black Edition on sale from $182,500

Nissan has announced the introduction of the Nissan GT-R Black Edition locally, priced from $182,500, plus on road costs, or an estimated drive-away price of $199,990.

For the extra outlay, the Black Edition receives aesthetic add-ons such as a carbon fibre rear spoiler and red and black interior treatment.

There is also a pair of specially-commissioned Recaro front seats featuring read leather-accented trim. A set of metallic black, super-lightweight, forged alloy 20-inch RAYS six-spoke wheels featuring knurled beads that help prevent tyres moving on the rims under hard acceleration rounds up the changes.

“The GT-R Black Edition has already proved popular in other markets, so we are pleased to introduce this exciting model to Australia,” said Nissan Motor Co (Australia) Managing Director and CEO, William F Peffer Jr.

Underneath the Black Edition bonnet lives Nissan’s awesome hand-built 3.8-litre twin-turbocharged V6 that generates 404kW of power @ 6,400rpm and 628Nm @3,200-5,800rpm. It is capable of propelling the GT-R from 0-100km/h in just 2.8 seconds.

The Nissan GT-R Black Edition is available from Nissan GT-R dealers from June.
