Nissan adds Diesel Variant and New Features to Dualis range

Nissan has added a new diesel variant to the Dualis range. The Dialis TS, featuring the R9M diesel engine producing 96kW of power and 320Nm of torque, is priced from $29,990 plus on-roads.

It is mated exclusively with a manual transmission that drives the front wheels. Average fuel consumption is rated at an impressive 4.5L/100km, which equates to around 1,445km from a single tank of fuel. This is thanks, in part, to the standard Stop/Start technology. Based on the Dualis ST model, the TS gets the addition of front fog lights, privacy glass and chrome highlights.

Besides the new diesel model, Nissan has also enhanced the entire Dualis line up with additional equipment. These include new 17-inch alloy wheels in the ST and TS models, as well as Satellite Navigation and Reversing Camera coming in as standard across the range.

Nissan’s Around View Monitor technology continues to be available exclusively on the top of the range Ti-L variant. The previous Ti variant has been deleted from the renewed line up.

“The DUALIS is one of our most popular models with its stylish design, rich selection of technology and safety features as well as a seven-seat option in the DUALIS+2,” said Nissan Motor Co (Australia) Managing Director and CEO, William F. Peffer Jr.

“With the addition of a turbo diesel variant and additional features such as satellite navigation and reversing camera across the line-up, the DUALIS and DUALIS+2 represent outstanding value and are now an even more exciting and compelling proposition.”

The enhanced Dualis and Dualis+2 line up will be go on sale from 1 May 2013.
