The next-generation Audi RS4 Avant has been realistically rendered, though it’s not scheduled to arrive until 2018.

In the single rolling shot, what appears to be a standard A4 Avant S line (below) has been beefed up with an aggressive front bumper with styling cues from the RS3 Sportback. Befitting its RS status, the word quattro is splashed proudly on the lower mesh front grille.

Elsewhere, the wheel fenders are wider to accommodate 20-inch rolling stock, while larger side skirts finish off the RS treatment.

Caught testing at the Nürburgring in April this year, the new RS4 is ditching the naturally aspirated V8 for a new twin-turbo V6. The new powerplant is expected to dish out as much as 368kW and features an electric turbocharger along with a conventional blower. Power is sent to all four wheels via a dual-clutch transmission.
