New Mercedes-AMG GLC 63 spied out in the open

After a taste of the slightly warmed-up V6-engined Mercedes-AMG GLC 43, here’s further proof Mercedes-AMG’s full-fat GLC 63 is just around the corner.

This modified GLC test mule shows a more muscular front end with bigger air intakes and a wider track, while at the back, the quad exhausts also reaffirms it as a range-topper.

It is safe to assume the GLC 63 will share its platform mate, the C63’s twin-turbo 4.0-litre V8 which produces 375kW and 700Nm of torque in top spec ‘S’ guise. That will certainly see the family SUV blast from 0-100km/h in less than 4.5 seconds.

Expect all-wheel drive to be standard, too, in order to put the prodigious power to good use, along with stiffer suspension and tweaked chassis to resist body roll.

We can expect to see the Mercedes-AMG GLC 63 in the first half of 2017.
