MINI Cooper Clubman on sale in November from $34,900

The new 6-door MINI Cooper Clubman will arrive in Australia next month from $34,900 plus on-road costs, while the sportier Cooper S Clubman is available from $42,900 plus on-road costs.

Featuring a substantially larger proportion compared to its predecessor, the new MINI Clubman is 292mm longer, 117mm wider and has a 123mm longer wheelbase.

Storage capacity also receives a boost, as the luggage compartment volume increases to 360 litres, which can be expanded to 1,250 litres with the rear seats folded. Boot access is made easy with the distinctive barn doors.

Standard equipment includes a six-speed automatic transmission, reversing camera with guidance lines, rear Park Distance Control and Forward Collision Warning. The Cooper S Clubman adds an eight-speed Sports automatic transmission, John Cooper Works Sports leather steering wheel, Comfort Access with contactless tailgate function and MINI Navigation System.

Under the Clubman’s bonnet is a turbocharged 1.5-litre three-cylinder petrol engine generating 100kW @ 4,400rpm and 220Nm at 1,250rpm. It enables the long wheelbase MINI to sprint from 0-100km/h in 9.1 seconds while returning a claimed 5.4L/100km.

The Cooper S Clubman shares its 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine with the MINI Cooper S. It generates 141kW @ 5,000rpm and 280Nm of torque at 1,250rpm, propelling the car from 0-100km/h in 7.1 seconds.

MINI service and selected maintenance costs can now be covered by a single, one-off advance payment with MINI TLC. TLC offers two packages: MINI TLC Basic Service Inclusive Basic, which provides scheduled servicing cover, while MINI TLC Plus combines scheduled servicing and selected maintenance items.

For just $980, the MINI TLC Basic package takes care of scheduled servicing costs for five years or 70,000 km, whichever comes first. The MINI TLC plan provides a long-term solution enabling cover to be extended and transferred to future vehicles owners before expiry.
