Mercedes is set to unveil the SLS AMG GT Final Edition simultaneously at the Los Angeles Auto Show and the Tokyo Motor Show, both to be held from 20 November to 1 December 2013.

The SLS AMG GT Final Edition is the last hurrah for the SLS super car, with only 350 units ever going to be built. The Final Edition shares the the same front-mid mounted 435 kW (591 hp) 6.3-litre V8 engine as the standard SLS AMG GT.

The special edition is distinguished by subtle updates including a front carbon fibre splitter, carbon fibre bonnet, redesigned rear spoiler and carbon fibre wing mirrors.

The SLS AMG was first unveiled in 2009 and has a wide variety of models – from a gullwing model to the roadster, GT, the Black Series, and a full electric drive version. It has also seen success in motorsport as the GT3 variant.

Along with the SLS AMG GT Final Edition, Mercedes will also take the wraps off the new S63 AMG at the motor shows. The range topping saloon is powered by a 6.0-litre V12 churning out 470 kW (630 hp) and a massive 1000 Nm of torque.
