Mercedes-Benz is lifting the hype around the Vision Mercedes-Maybach 6 Concept further with a new teaser video released on the manufacturer’s Instagram page today.

We have seen the front and side profile of the ultra-luxury coupe from previous teasers and this latest preview gives a glimpse of the concept’s rear end along with its gullwing doors.

Set to debut at Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance tomorrow, the six metre-long Mercedes-Maybach 6 Concept Coupe features an incredibly long bonnet, narrow glasshouse, teardrop shaped cabin and a plunging tail.

While no other details have been released by Mercedes, the Maybach could be based on the stretched and modified platform of the Mercedes-Benz S-Class Coupe, just like the Maybach S600 is based on the S-Class sedan’s architecture.

As befitting its “ultimate luxury” status, we can expect the car to feature exquisite materials throughout, in order to compete with Rolls-Royce and Bentley.
