Mercedes GLE 63 AMG teased [video]

Mercedes-Benz GLE 63 AMG front quarter

Mercedes has released a teaser video of the sportiest variant of the recently unveiled GLE crossover, the GLE 63 AMG.

Looking properly muscular with typical AMG styling traits like the massive air intakes at the front and a broad stance, it will go head-to-head with the BMW X6 M.

While no details have been released on the car’s power or drivetrain, the GLE 63 AMG could carry over the 5.5-litre twin turbo V8 from the M-Class, but the new 4.0-litre twin turbo V8 powering the AMG GT could also be used.

Regardless of the powerplant, we can expect the crossover coupe to churn out at least 400kW.

The Mercedes-Benz GLE 63 AMG is likely to debut at the Detroit Auto Show in a few days, where the standard GLE will also be unveiled.
