Mercedes CLA-Class range extends to new CLA 250 Sport 4MATIC

Mercedes launched the sleek CLA-Class late last year with the CLA 200 and the supercar taming CLA 45 AMG.

For 2014, the Mercedes-Benz CLA-Class range will see the addition of two new models, starting with the CLA 200 CDI in March and the CLA 250 Sport 4MATIC with all-wheel-drive traction – which arrives in July.

“We are excited to announce that the highly anticipated CLA 250 Sport will now arrive as a 4MATIC (all-wheel drive) variant, and is available to order immediately”, said Richard Emery, General Manager Sales.

The turbo diesel CLA 200 CDI in the CLA-Class is powered by a 1.8 litre 4-cylinder engine producing 100kW and 300N, good for a combined fuel consumption of just 4.7 litres per 100 kilometres.

Standard features in the only diesel model in the range includes 18” Wheels, THERMOTRONIC, Becker® MAP PILOT Navigation, and a reversing camera.

Slotting just below the CLA  45 AMG is the CLA 250 Sport 4MATIC with a 2.0-litre 4-cylinder petrol engine producing 155 kW of power and 350 Nm of torque. Driving all four wheels, it is able to sprint from 0 to 100 kilometres per hour in just 6.6 seconds.

In addition, the CLA 250 Sport 4MATIC (all-wheel drive) incorporates Heated Electric Leather Sports Seats with Memory Function and AMG performance enhancements and styling. The CLA 45 AMG (pictured below) also includes AMG Driver’s Package, AMG Night Package, AMG Performance Steering Wheel, COMAND Navigation and a Harmon Kardon® Logic 7® surround sound system as standard.

The new Mercedes-Benz CLA-Class range is now available to order with pricing* as follows (excl. on-roads):

CLA 200: $49,900 (MRLP)
CLA 200 CDI: $50,400 (MRLP)
CLA 250 Sport 4MATIC: $64,900 (MRLP)
CLA 45 AMG 4MATIC: $86,900 (MRLP)
