Mercedes Introduces “Edition 30″ to celebrate 30 years of C-Class

Mercedes-Benz Australia is celebrating 30 years of C-Class in Australia by introducing an ‘Edition 30’ model. The milestone was achieved in February 2012 when the 30,000th current-generation C-Class sedan was delivered.

It also coincided with the announcement by Roy Morgan Research that Mercedes-Benz came out top in a customer satisfaction survey, with 95% satisfaction for the month of February, matching its January 2012 results.

Mercedes-Benz Australia Pacific, Senior Manager for Corporate Communications, David McCarthy said: “We wanted to deliver to our customers the same outstanding value in our “Edition 30” C-Class that they have enjoyed since the vehicle line was launched. We have delivered over 30,000 of the current generation C-Class sedans in Australia, this alone is a significant figure but it is between 35 and 98 percent higher than our traditional competitors.”

The “Edition 30” model is based on the company’s C200 BlueEFFICIENT and C200 CDI BlueEFFICIENT sedans. The special edition package consists of 17-inch alloy wheels, glass sunroof, COMAND Satellite Navigation System and reversing camera, all for an extra A$3,390; this represents a saving of more than A$3,000 if these features were ordered individually.

This is on top of an earlier price reduction on four-cylinder petrol C-Class Sedan and Estate due to the introduction of Start/Stop engine technology which saw them coming under the 7.0l/100km Luxury Car Tax threshold.
