Mercedes-Benz CLS 63 AMG ‘S’ arrives in Oct from $262,645

The Mercedes-Benz has announced the pricing of the Mercedes-Benz CLS 63 AMG ‘S’, available in both Coupé and Shooting Brake (wagon). Priced from $262,645 plus on-road costs for the Coupé, and $265,145 plus on-road costs for the Shooting Brake, the fast swoopy four-door will be available in October locally.

Powered by AMG’s 5.5-litre biturbo V8 engine, the CLS 63 AMG ‘S’ produces 430kW of power and 800Nm of torque. It will storm from 0-100km/h in 4.1 seconds in the Coupé, and 4.2 seconds in the Shooting Brake. Both are electronically limited to a top speed of 250km/h. Those wanting to delimit vmax will have to opt for the Driver’s Package that increases the top speed to 300km/h.

Despite the impressive performance, the CLS 63 AMG ‘S’ has outstanding fuel efficiency, consuming just 10L/100km for the Coupé, and 10.3L/100km for the Shooting Brake.

As expected on an AMG, a host of features come standard on both cars, including 19” AMG Wheels, AMG sports seats, AMG sports exhaust, AMG body styling, THERMOTRONIC and Harman Kardon Logic 7 surround sound system.

On the safety front, the CLS 63 AMG ‘S’ will be delivered with a host of safety equipment, such as DISTRONIC PLUS, Active Blind Spot Assist, Active Lane Keeping Assist, PRE-SAFE Brake and Brake Assist BAS Plus.
