Mercedes-Benz CLA Shooting Brake lands from $52,400

Mercedes-Benz Australia has announced pricing and specifications for the CLA Shooting Brake range.

The four-model range opens with the CLA 200 powered by a 1.6-litre turbo four-cylinder petrol engine producing 115kW and 250Nm with a combined fuel economy of 5.7L/100km.

The fuel economy leader of the CLA Shooting Brake range is the CLA 200 CDI, with a combined fuel consumption figure of just 4.3L/100 km. The 2.1-litre 4-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine produces a maximum output of 100kW and 300Nm of torque.

The sporty CLA 250 Sport 4MATIC Shooting Brake delivers 155kW and up to 350Nm of torque. As per the equivalent coupé variant, its appearance is characterised by AMG styling, a Diamond Grille, Intelligent Light System, 18” AMG Wheels and a lowered AMG engineered sports suspension.

The CLA 45 AMG Shooting Brake utilises the punchy 2.0-litre turbo four-cylinder AMG engine, producing a maximum output of 265kW and 450Nm of torque. Matched with the 4MATIC All-Wheel Drive system, the CLA 45 AMG Shooting Brake accelerates from rest to 100km/h in just 4.7 seconds, while its top speed is electronically limited to 270 km/h.

Standard equipment across the CLA Shooting Brake range include powered tailgate, 18-inch wheels, satellite navigation, Keyless Start and reversing camera. In addition, the CLA 250 Sport 4MATIC Shooting Brake incorporates Heated Electric Leather Front Seats with memory function, AMG bodystyling, 4MATIC all-wheel drive, Keyless-Go and a panoramic glass sunroof.

The CLA 45 AMG Shooting Brake also includes the AMG Driver’s Package, AMG Night Package, 19” AMG Wheels, AMG high-performance braking system, COMAND Navigation and a Harmon Kardon Logic 7 surround sound system as standard.

The CLA Shooting Brake will also arrive with generous safety features as standard including 9 Airbags, Collision Prevention with semi-autonomous braking, Blind Spot Assist, Pre-Safe, Attention Assist and Active Bonnet. The CLA 45 AMG will also include Distronic Plus and Lane Keeping Assist as standard.

The new CLA Shooting Brake will arrive in dealerships from June 2015.
