McLaren MP4-12C collided hard with concrete in Taiwan

An orange McLaren MP4-12C has had an unfortunate encounter with a concrete pole in Taiwan yesterday. Although details are scarce, it seems that the owner of the supercar lost control of his machine at high speed and crashed into a pole.

The result, as you can see from these photos, has devastated the entire front of the car. However, the carbon fibre tub of the car seemed to have performed as intended, staying relatively intact. The driver was hospitalised with none life threatening injuries.

As for the McLaren, it will likely head straight to the junkyard for scrap metal.
