A brand new Maserati Quattroporte has burnt to the ground in Azerbaijan over the weekend. As you can see from these photos, the Maserati sedan was burnt almost beyond recognition, with only the tell-tale fender vents giving the car away.

Not much is known as to what caused the devastating fire, but there are speculation that the car fell victim to an arson attack. Another plausible cause could be unexplained mechanical failure.

The car was owned by Rufat Abdullayev, who lives in the capital of Azerbaijan, Baku. Luckily, no known casualties have been reported in the incident.
