Maserati GranTurismo MC Stradale updated with 338kW 4.7 V8

Maserati’s race-inspired GranTurismo MC Stradale is set to debut at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show next week, before going on sale in Europe in the northern hemisphere summer.

Based on the GranTurismo MC, Stradale has undergone a number of changes as part of its first major update. Key among the changes is a 338kW/520Nm 4.7-litre V8 engine that is now shared throughout the entire 4.7-litre Gran Turismo range. It is matched up with an MC Race Shift 6-speed electro actuated gearbox. The Stradale is capable of hitting 303km/h.

Stopping power comes courtesy of Brembo carbon ceramic brake disks. Other performance highlights include a carbon fibre bonnet with air intakes and heat extractors, sports suspension and a set of 20-inch forged alloy wheels.

In keeping with Maserati’s principles, the new GranTurismo MC Stradale makes the most of the work invested in the previous model in terms of reducing fuel consumption and emissions.

The GranTurismo Stradale is also now fitted with a 2+2 seat configuration and an interior design featuring new materials and style.
