Bentley has unveiled a limited-edition Continental GT “Black Speed” at the Australian Formula One Grand Prix over the past weekend.

Developed with help from the company’s customisation division, Mulliner, the Continental GT Black Speed is limited to just ten examples, and was created exclusively for Australia and New Zealand.

The special edition model is distinguishable by tinted headlights and taillights, hand-painted pinstripe and gloss black 21-inch wheels, elevated by red accents in the front grille surrounds, front splitter, side skirts, rear diffuser and wheel fender lines.

The red on black theme continues onto the interior red trim adorning the steering wheel, dashboard, centre console and seats. There’s also red “Black Speed” lettering on the headrests and red highlights for the Breitling clock.

Carried over unchanged from the Continental GT Speed is the twin-turbo W12 engine developing 467kW and 820Nm, propelling the GT from rest to 100km/h in just 4.2 seconds.

Pricing for the bespoke model starts from $525,000 and with all the options ticked, including the $20,000 carbon ceramic brake package, you will be looking $600,000.

Speaking at the launch, Bentley’s Asia-Pacific Sales Manager, David Simpson, described the Continental GT Black Speed as “probably the most aggressive car that we’ve made.” He went on to say that the model was a response to customer feedback in Australia where many have asked Bentley for a more aggressive Continental GT.
