Lexus to debut new concept at Frankfurt Motor Show

Lexus has announced it will be bringing out a new concept at next month’s IAA Frankfurt Motor Show. Along with the announcement, the company has released a teaser photo for the new Lexus concept.

The teaser doesn’t reveal much but judging from the photo, the new concept may be a preview model for the new Lexus RC F that has been doing rounds at the Nurburgring circuit in Germany over the last few weeks. The new RC nameplate is Lexus’ newest addition to its line up, aimed squarely at the BMW 4-Series, while the range topping Lexus RC F will go after the new BMW M4.

The new concept may also be the upcoming Lexus NX compact crossover, another new addition to the family scheduled for release in 2014. It will be powered by a new turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine.

The new concept will be joined by the new full hybrid GS 300h saloon, presented for the first time in Europe ahead of its introduction here towards the end of the year.

Lexus will hold a press conference on its stand in Hall 8 at the show, at 1pm on Tuesday, 10 September. This will include a special appearance by the classical dance stars featured in its recent Steps marketing campaign. Stay tuned for more details of this new Lexus concept.
