The Photoshop mavericks at X-Tomi has come up with this Shooting Brake proposal for the new Lexus RC F and we are liking it! It gets a fastback design, albeit still with only two doors. Much of the Lexus RC F’s body kit has been carried over in the design.
While we are not aware if Lexus has any intention of creating such a vehicle, with the Japanese brand eyeing growth in the all-important European market, it isn’t such a silly idea to have a fast “wagon”.
The RC F is motivated by a 348kW/526Nm 5.0-litre atmospheric V8 connected to the rear wheels via an eight-speed automatic gearbox. It propels the car from 0-100km/h in just 4.5 seconds and will hit the quarter mile in 12.5 seconds. Top speed is electronically limited to 273km/h (170mph).
The Lexus RC F will arrive in Australia towards the middle of 2015, with the standard RC coupes launching a few months earlier.
