Lexus CT 200h F Sport Debuts At 2010 Sydney Motor Show

Lexus has staged a world premiere of the CT 200h F Sport at the Australian International Motor Show (AIMS). As an addition to Lexus’s F Sport model line-up, the luxury hybrid hatchback features a number of enhancement over the standard model.

For those unaware, the CT 200h is a full hybrid that combines a 1.8 liter VVT-i petrol engine with an electric motor, a generator and a high performance battery. A power control unit and power split device which employs a planetary gear set distribute power from the engine, electric motor and generator according to driving requirements.

The F Sport model receives a sport suspension, sportier styling both front and rear, and of course the F badge. On the inside the car features the F Sport exclusive interior trim, steering wheel, sports pedals, scuff plates, instrument panel and privacy glass.

“CT 200h gives Lexus a presence in the growing luxury compact segment,” said Lexus Australia CEO Tony Cramb.

CT 200h F Sport models will add even greater appeal to a vehicle that – with its hybrid drivetrain and list of advanced features – is set to become Australia’s most advanced luxury hatch. The arrival of the CT 200h in 2011 reinforces yet again Lexus’ commitment to hybrid vehicles. It cements our real-world hybrid advantage in the luxury market,” he said.
