Lamborghini’s replacement for the Gallardo, which is now ten years old, has been caught undergoing  night testing in Europe. The Lamborghini Cabrera is expected to make its first debut as a concept model at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show.

Under the thick camouflage, the Cabrera can be seen sharing design cues from the Lamborghini Veneno and Sesto Elemento concepts. Numerous reports have suggested that the Cabrera’s focus will be on lightweight construction including an aluminium carbon fibre chassis.

The Cabrera will be available in either rear-wheel-drive or all-wheel-drive form, powered by a new 5.2-litre V10 developing over 600 hp (447 kW) and 540 Nm of torque. A 4.0-litre V8 sourced from Audi will also be offered.

Lamborghini continues to name its supercars after bull names and like the Gallardo, the name Cabrera refers to one of the five main breeds of bulls.
