With big brother Hyundai now having a fully fledge luxury marque that’s the Genesis, Kia is also developing its own “semi-luxury” rear wheel drive sedan.

Spawn off the Genesis G80 and G90’s platform, the heavily camouflage prototype was caught undergoing testing at the Nürburgring recently.

Based on the Kia GT Concept, the model can be seen with a sloping roofline and is expected to share the Genesis G80 Sport’s 3.3-litre twin-turbo V6 generating 268kW.

It is understood that the four-door coupe will be christened the Kia GT Stinger where it will go up against the Audi A5 Sportback and BMW 4 Series Gran Coupe when it goes on sale sometime next year.
