Jeep’s Blackhawk blacked-out treatment launched last year has now extended to include the Cherokee compact SUV.

Based on the mid-spec Longitude trim level and strictly a styling exercise, the Jeep Cherokee Blackhawk edition gains blacked-out Jeep badging, window surrounds and seven-slot grille surround.

The style upgrade also includes gloss black roof rails and daylight opening. 18-inch (up from 17-inch on Longitude) gloss black painted aluminium wheels and a black interior complete the look.

Inside, the Jeep Cherokee Blackhawk upgrades include an 8.4-inch (up from 5.0-inch on Longitude) Uconnect touchscreen with DAB+ digital radio.

The Jeep Cherokee Blackhawk carries over the standard model’s 3.2-litre petrol V6 engine rated at 200kW and 316Nm.

Available from $41,000 plus on-roads, the Cherokee Blackhawk is on sale now and available in limited numbers.
