Hyundai teases next generation i30 wagon ahead of Geneva debut

Hyundai has released a shadowy teaser image of the next generation i30 wagon ahead of its scheduled debut at the Geneva Motor Show next month.

The new member of the i30 family will join its hatchback sibling launched late last year with added space and versatility. Like the i30 hatch, the i30 wagon is designed and developed in Europe – one of the most important markets for the model with more than 800,000 i30 sold on the continent since 2008 over two generations.

“The Next Generation i30 Wagon speaks the language of the i30 family in terms of design, and it carries the new Hyundai family identity – the Cascading Grille,” explains Thomas Bürkle, Chief Designer at Hyundai Design Centre Europe.

“The tapering roofline and the dynamic proportions give the Wagon an almost coupé-like silhouette. The sleek and dynamic profile is further emphasised by a rich chrome frame surrounding the side windows.”

The all-new 2017 Hyundai i30 range is expected to arrive in Australia in late-2017. Full details will be announced at the Geneva launch on 9 March.
