Hyundai ix35 SE now with 135kW 2.0L turbodiesel

Hyundai Australia has introduced a new 2.0-litre turbo-diesel engine to the European-sourced Hyundai ix35 SE line-up.

Matched with an all-wheel drive system, the 2.0-litre R-Series CRDi turbo engine is one of the most powerful diesel engines in its class, with 135kW @ 4,000rpm and 392Nm @ 1,800-2,500rpm. It returns a combined fuel economy of 7.5L/100km.

The ix35 SE can be distinguished by its unique front bumper with in-set fog lights, automatic project headlamps, power folding exterior mirrors, solar control glass with rear privacy tint and 17” alloy wheels. Inside, it offers a chilled glove box, front and rear seat heating and full leather trim.

Other standard features include a 5-inch touch screen infotainment system with Bluetooth phone connectivity and audio streaming, AUX and USB input with iPod compatibility and a MP3/WMA/CD player.

Its safety arsenal include 5-star ANCAP rating, courtesy of six airbags, ABS with EBD, Electronic Stability Control, Traction Control, Downhill Brake Control, Hill Start Assist Control and Vehicle Stability Management. A rear view camera is also standard.
