Hyundai demonstrates driver assist tech with blind driven 2015 Genesis

2015 Hyundai-Genesis-Gauntlet video

There’s no doubt driver assist technologies have revolutionised car safety and changed the way we drive. Some, like reverse camera and adaptive cruise control, are more worthwhile than others. Crucially, these systems are increasingly dribbling down to the everyday cars that we buy.

To prove how advanced its driver assist technologies are, Hyundai has released a trio of videos starring veteran stunt and race driver, Rhys Millen, behind the wheel of a 2015 Hyundai Genesis with all windows blacked out.

Each video showcases a series of Hyundai’s driver assist system that helps the driver negotiate an obstacle course safely.

Check them out below as they are quite entertaining. The 2015 Hyundai Genesis sedan will launch in Australia for the first time in July. It will feature a 248kW Lambda 3.8-litre V6 petrol engine driving the rear wheels.
