Hyundai adds V6 power to Santa Fe range

Hyundai has permanently retained a V6 model to the Santa Fe seven-seat SUV range following the success of the V6-powered Santa Fe 30th Limited Edition launched in September last year.

Priced from $40,990, a $200 hike over the limited run 30th Edition, the Santa Fe V6 is added to the range as an Active X model. The 3.3-litre petrol V6 under the bonnet develops 199kW and 318Nm, driving only the front wheels through a six-speed automatic transmission. It is the most powerful model and also the only front-wheel drive variant in the line-up.

Riding on 19-inch dark grey finish alloy wheels, the Santa Fe Active X V6 also gets chrome exterior door handles, heated outside mirrors, rear privacy glass and unique badging.

Inside, highlights include the leather-appointed seats with three stage heating for the front row, dual-zone climate control, chilled glovebox and 7-inch touchscreen audio system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility.

On the safety front, the V6 model, like the rest of the Sante Fe range, gets 7 airbags – driver and front passenger, front side, side curtains (1st and 2nd row), and driver’s knee, rear view camera, rear parking sensors, hill start assist, tyre pressure monitoring system and LED daytime running lights.

The Santa Fe Active X also boasts Hyundai’s Australian-focused suspension and handling tune and 5-star ANCAP- safety rating.
