HSV reportedly working on 475kW GTS-R

HSV-Gen-F-GTS-1

HSV is reportedly working on a swan song for the GTS by enlisting the Corvette ZR1’s monstrous 6.2-litre LS9 supercharged V8.

Producing a meaty 475kW and 818Nm of torque, the engine is capable of hitting a top speed of 330km/h in the ZR1. Unlike the 6.2-litre LSA supercharged V8 currently employed in the GTS, the LS9 features a 20 percent larger supercharger, titanium con-rods, forged internals, larger intercooler and a race-ready dry-sump lubrication system.

If it all works out, the car could be called the GTS-R with production limited to less than 200 units. It will carry a price tag beyond $100,000.
