High-performance Mazda CX-5 MPS realistically envisioned

The all-new Mazda CX-5 is one of the most anticipated models from the Japanese brand and a star at the recent Los Angeles Auto Show.

With a chiseled body and athletic proportions, the CX-5 is certainly a head turner but what if Mazda decides to turn the styling and performance up a notch and introduce a high-performance MPS variant?

Wonder no more, as X-Tomi Design apparently has the idea!

Their realistic render shows an even sportier styling with a selection of new body panels and a lowered stance, including a more aggressive front fascia with revised bumper complete with lip spoiler and black front grille trim. They have also given the CX-5 extended side skirts and a larger set of alloy wheels.

While an MPS model has been speculated on and off, Mazda has made no official promise that such a model is in the pipeline. Let’s hope the rumour mills are right!
