Hear the Pagani Zonda Tricolore’s 7.3L V12 sings [video]

While most of us would never really get a chance to ride shotgun in the ultra-rare Pagani Zonda Tricolore, let alone drive one, any footage and sound of the car’s screaming V12 engine is no doubt welcomed with open arms.

Thanks to YouTube poster, Marchettino, we get hear what the AMG-sourced 7.3-litre naturally aspirated V12 sounds like when its churning out 500kW and 780Nm of torque!

For the video, our friend installed an external microphone right next to the supercar’s exhaust to capture the sound better.

The Tricolore was originally intended as a one-off tribute to the Italian National Aerobatic Team. Based on the Zonda Cinque, the Tricolore is finished in a clear blue lacquer coating amongst other styling tweaks. Three examples were eventually built, priced at €1.3M each when it was originally released in 2010.

It features a six-speed robotized sequential gearbox that propels the car from 0-100km/h in a mere 3.4 seconds, and 200km/h in just 9.6 seconds, en route to a top speed of 354km/h.
