German-sourced Ford Focus pricing and specification revealed – from $25,990

Ford Australia has announced the pricing and specification of its all-new 2018 Ford Focus, which goes on sale from December 2019 with a three-model line-up.

Kicking off the German-made Focus range is the Focus Trend priced from $25,990 plus on-road costs.

Standard equipment includes Autonomous Emergency Braking as well as SYNC 3 with built-in sat-nav, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Its voice-activation system is also said to have been specifically developed to understand a variety of accents, including Australian twangs.

Next up is the first-ever Focus ST-Line which will be offered in both 5-door hatch and wagon body styles, and brings sportier styling. Priced from $28,990 for the hatch and $30,990 for the wagon, the ST-Line gains 17-inch alloy wheels, a 10mm lower ride-height for sportier dynamics and more athletic visual presence, LED adaptive cornering fog lamps and LED taillights.

Inside, the interior gets a flat-bottom steering wheel, red stitching throughout and unique sports seats, while the wagon also offers 1,653 litres of storage space. It also features cleverly integrated remote seat release as part of the ‘Easy Fold Seats’ system, a two-tier floor, tonneau cover, load compartment loops and exterior roof rails.

Sitting at the top of the Focus range, for now, is the Focus Titanium priced from $34,490. It brings premium features such as LED headlights, sequential LED indicators, Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop&GO, Speed Sign Recognition and Lane-Centering and Evasive Steer Assist that help maintain a comfortable distance from vehicles ahead.

Inside, there’s dual-zone climate control, wireless phone charging and a 9-speaker B&O Play sound system with subwoofer.

The entire 2019 Focus range is powered by a downsized 1.5-litre 3-cylinder EcoBoost engine generating 134kW of power and 240Nm of torque, matched with an 8-speed automatic transmission with e-shifter and wheel-mounted paddle shifters.
