Facelifted 2019 Honda Civic revealed in the U.S.

The updated 2019 Honda Civic sedan and coupe has been updated in the U.S. but could this be the 2019 Aussie Civic?

Pictured here in the newly added Sport trim, the light makeover brings new piano black front fascia “wing”, a restyled bumper and lower grille, as well as fresh 18-inch alloys. There’s also a full-width front splitter, updated headlights and chrome accents around the front foglights.

Around the back, the sedan gains a rear bootlid spoiler and a splitter-style rear lower bumper, which fits a chrome polygonal exhaust finisher.

In the US, the 2019 Civic range will come with autonomous emergency braking as standard as part of the latest Honda Sensing active-safety package, which also include lane keep assist and adaptive cruise control.

Inside, the new range receives an updated infotainment system that dispense with the hard-to-use touch-sensitive volume slider for a conventional knob.

It is unclear at this stage whether these changes will make it onto our Thai-sourced models.
