Callaway introduces 449kW Chevrolet Corvette Stingray SC610.

2014 Chevrolet Corvette Singray Callaway SC610

While the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray is hardly anaemic, that doesn’t stop Chevrolet specialist, Callaway Cars from squeezing more power from the American muscle car.

Called the SC610, the tuning package extracts an extra 85kW (115HP) of power and 130Nm of torque from the Corvette, for a total of 449kW (610HP) and 754Nm. This is accomplished by adding an Eaton supercharger atop the 6.2-litre V8 engine, a high-flow intake and a stainless steel exhaust.

This setup enables the car to dash from 0-100km/h in 3.5 seconds and hit the quarter mile in 11 seconds at 201km/h (125mph).

To match the extra oomph, Callaway has also given the car a tougher look with a carbon fibre bonnet, door sill panels and a set of new wheels.
