BMW 2 Series Coupé prototype wrecked during test on the Autobahn

A BMW 2 Series Coupé prototype has crashed during testing on the German autobahn. According to the local media, the accident happened on Saturday evening when the driver of the camouflaged vehicle lost control of the car due to high speed.

It then clipped the beam barrier for about 50 meters before coming to a stop on the left lane after 150 meters. Four other cars became collateral damage when debris from the crash hit their cars.

The wrecked 2 Series doesn’t appear to be the high powered M-tweak M235i, but possibly an entry level car.

The good news is, the test driver escaped with only minor injuries.
