Bentley To Release Entry Level 4-Door Saloon

Just when you thought the four door coupe saloon market is crowded enough with offerings from Porsche, Aston Martin and Mercedes Benz to name a few, our friends from Auto Express has reported that the folks from Bentley is about to join the party.

Rumour is the VW owned brand is looking at expanding the model line up with an entry level 4 door ‘hatchback’. It will be based on the aluminium space frame that currently underpins the Audi A7 and shares much of its mechanical components.

The baby Bentley will also share its stable mate’s 4-litre V8 engine, driving all four wheels through an 8-speed auto box.

The car is also developed with the expanding Chinese market in mind. it will sit below the Continental Flying Spur and recently launched Mulsanne in Bentley’s model range.
