Bentley EXP 9 F and Lamborghini Urus likely to be delayed by VW

The first casualties of the deepening European economic crisis have emerged. Volkswagen Group may possibly delay the launch of SUVs from its Bentley and Lamborghini brands.

Decisions on the Bentley EXP 9 F and Lamborghini Urus could come on 23 November, when VW’s board will vote on the company’s budget for equipment, factories and vehicles. Amid VW’s slowing sales and the European economy getting worse, industry watchers predicts the company is likely to push back the introduction of super-expensive luxury SUVs and conserve its cash.

However, officials from both Bentley and Lamborghini said they will continue to push for support for the SUVs. Lamborghini CEO, Stephan Winkelman said the company will continue planning for the Urus until VW tells it to stop.
