Audi teases A9 concept – production model coming 2017 [video]

Audi has released a teaser video of the brand’s A9 concept ahead of its official debut at the Los Angeles Motor Show this month.

The German premium car maker also took the opportunity to introduce to the world its new design chief, Marc Lichte, who appeared in the video and talked about this passion for cars and models such as the Audi 90 quattro IMSA GTO, the first-generation A8 and TT Coupe that inspired him.

The A9 concept, of course, is penned under his watchful eyes and set to preview a new design direction for the brand. Marc used the word “timeless”.

The concept will likely spawn a production version of the same name. It will reportedly hit the showrooms in 2017 powered by a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 putting out 447kW (600 bhp).
