Audi reportedly preparing RS3 Sedan for the USA

Audi RS3 Sedan render

Audi is reportedly working on an RS3 Sedan (X-Tomi Design render shown above) for the USA. As we all know, the RS3 is currently only available as a five-door Sportback in Europe, and Americans are known to dislike hatchbacks.

According to Fourtitude, Audi of America had let slip that the RS 3 Sedan is currently under development and will be headed to the US.

Like the RS3 Sportback, the sedan will feature a 2.5-litre five-cylinder engine producing 270kW (367 PS) of power and 465Nm of torque, connected to a seven-speed S tronic dual-clutch transmission and quattro all-wheel drive system.

The hatch will dash from 0-100km/h in just 4.3 seconds and has an electronically limited top speed of 250km/h, or 280km/h if you pay more.

In Australia, the S3 Sedan is as popular as the Sportback. That means if the RS3 Sedan is engineered in right-hand drive as well, there is a high possibility it will make it here, too.

The Audi RS3 Sportback will launch in Australia later this year.
