Nissan has announced Australian pricing and model grades for the all-new Nissan Qashqai, which goes on sale in Australia in July 2014. The new Qashqai replaces the Dualis as the brand’s compact crossover.

One of Nissan’s most important models, the all-new Qashqai sets out to offer even greater levels of premium comfort and innovative technologies wrapped in a bolder, more attractive exterior.

The Qashqai will be offered both petrol and diesel engine options, each available in two grades.

“The all-new Nissan Qashqai presents an enormous Australian-market opportunity for Nissan,” said Richard Emery, Managing Director and CEO of Nissan Australia.

“QASHQAI offers consumers style, safety, technology and premium comfort in an exciting, accessible package that will have broad appeal.

“Our crossover and SUV range now boasts Juke, Qashqai, X-TRAIL, Murano, Pathfinder and Patrol, ensuring that Nissan has a product for every need in this ever-growing section of the market.”

The Qashqai ST and Ti grades feature a 2.0-litre MR20 petrol engine, producing 106kW of power and 200Nm of torque. Both petrol grades are available with either six-speed manual or CVT (Xtronic transmission in Nissan speak).

The Qashqai TS and TL grades are powered by a 1.6-litre R9M turbo diesel engine paired with an Xtronic transmission, producing 96kW of power and 320Nm of torque.
Braked towing capacity for the all-new QASHQAI is 1,200 kilograms for petrol engine Xtronic transmission models, and 1,400 kilograms for petrol engine manual transmission models and diesel engine grades.

Standard across the range are features such as Active Trace Control, Active Ride Control and Active Engine Brake. Qashqai has independent strut front suspension and multi-link rear suspension.

Technology offered on all grades includes LED Daytime Running Lights, Hill Start Assist, Adjustable Steering Modes (offering Sport Mode with firmer feel and increased feedback), Electric Park Brake and NissanConnect™ smartphone connectivity, which provides integrated access to Apps on the user’s smartphone. Apps include Facebook®, Pandora® and Google Online Search®.

Qashqai Ti and TL grades include Intelligent Park Assist (featuring both reverse parallel and bay parking), Blind Spot Warning, Around View Monitor with Moving Object Detection, Lane Departure Warning, Driver Attention Support, LED Headlights and High Beam Assist.
