Alfa Romeo details Giulia Quadrifoglio in new video and photos

Alfa Romeo’s smoking hot Giulia Quadrifoglio won’t drop its cover until its debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show next week, but the Italian car maker is drumming up anticipation with a promotional video and sneak peak of the sports sedan’s exterior and interior details.

The Giulia is the brand’s most important model for over a decade, and the range-topping Quadrifoglio will go head to head with the BMW M3 and Mercedes-AMG C 63.

First unveiled in June, the Giulia Quadrifoglio sets out to write a new page for Alfa Romeo, which is celebrating its 105th year of automotive manufacturing. Taking the brand back into the premium compact executive segment, the Giulia Quadrifoglio is based on key ingredients of the Alfa Romeo technical architecture, including 50/50 weight balance and rear-wheel drive.

Under the bonnet of the Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio is an all-aluminium six-cylinder turbo petrol engine serving up 510HP (380kW), enough to launch the sedan from 0- to-100km/h in only 3.9 seconds.

Alfa Romeo has confirmed the Giulia range and Quadrifoglio performance model are headed for Australia. Along with the 4C sports car, the Giulia Quadrifoglio is set to revive the brand’s once mighty sporting pedigree.
