Abarth 695 Edizion Maserati from $60,000 – 40 only for Australia

The Limited Edition Abarth 695 Edizione Maserati (Maserati Edition) has been launched in Australia following its international debut last year, with only 40 units, out of the limited global run of 499 examples, destined for local consumption.

The exclusivity will cost $60,000, but you get an uprated 1.4-litre turbocharged engine, which produces 132kW of power at 5,500rpm and 250Nm of torque at 3,000rpm. It is mated with an electrically-operated manual Abarth Competizione gearbox with steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters.

A variable back-pressure ‘dual-mode’ exhaust also improves engine performance while delivering an ‘inspiring’ exhaust note above 3,000rpm. The hexagonal tailpipes take inspiration from Maserati sports cars.

The Abarth 695 Edizione Maserati wears 17-inch, you guessed it, Maserati-inspired Neptune alloy wheels shot with 205/40 R17 performance tyres and is suspended on Koni shock absorbers. Stopping power comes courtesy of Brembo disc brakes front and rear.

The car is finished in ‘Pontevecchio Bordeaux’ exterior paint – a colour from the Maserati palette. The electrically controlled soft top is finished in Titanium grey fabric.

Inside the seats are upholstered in sand beige leather and feature a ‘695’ logo embossed on the headrest.  The dashboard and gearshift trim are distinguished by a special matte carbon finish, further enhanced with the ‘695’ logo, while the door panels and rear panels undergo a special UV-Lux treatment that lends the trims an elegant grey ‘flocking’ effect.

The black leather steering wheel features beige leather inserts and a tri-colour hub, while the instrument panel has been specifically produced by the Jaeger brand. Music is taken care of by a 400W JBL audio system with 9 speakers and 8-channel amplifier.

There is also an individual build plate with the car’s build number from 1 to 499, while a set of Tramontano leather luggage is thrown in as standard.

The Abarth 695 Edizione Maserati is on sale now through Fiat dealers around Australia.
