Mazda will be showcasing the full-scale model of the LM55 Vision Gran Turismo racer at the 2016 Tokyo Auto Salon this weekend. The car was originally created as part of the “Vision Gran Turismo” project for Gran Turismo 6, the popular racing simulation game available exclusively on PlayStation 4.

Developed in close collaboration with Polyphony Digital, the creator of Gran Turismo, the Mazda LM55 blends agility with elegance in the car’s dynamic silhouette. While iterating Mazda’s hallmark KODO design language on the front face, its stance is reminiscent of the famed 787B that took overall victory at the 1991 24 Hours of Le Mans, is powerful yet graceful.

The Mazda LM55 will be presented alongside four other racing concepts from the Japanese carmaker in Tokyo, namely the CX-5, Mazda6, MX-5, and Mazda2 racing-derived concepts.
